Possible technical solutions for a significant increase in range
actions of existing artillery systems.

The firing range of existing artillery systems can be increased up to 100%
if you use ammunition of great length with separate loading. For example, simple
towed howitzers.
Such howitzers have a rifled barrel into which a long (up to 1 meter) projectile can be placed.
And separately load the main charge in the sleeve.
To compensate for the effect of barrel rifling, the projectile has a diameter smaller than the barrel diameter and is placed
in a special container made of high-density polymer (for example, ballistic polyethylene).
The container has lines of separation into 3-4 parts after exiting the barrel.
The projectile is stabilized by deployable tail fins.
A high firing range is provided by means of ammunition planning.
Wings deployed after climb provide long gliding capability
and correction of the trajectory (for example, by GPS).
The large length of the projectile allows you to use an efficient aerodynamic system and have
large wind volume.
The disadvantages include the high cost and two-stage loading into the barrel.
But the possibility of hitting important targets at a distance of more than 200 kilometers from the existing
artillery systems fully compensate for this shortcoming.
